Tim Waylett, P.E
President / Senior Analyst

Tim has a B.S.M.E. from UNC Charlotte, and a M.E. of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from University of Virginia. Tim was a Structural Analyst for Babcock and Wilcox Nuclear Technologies in Lynchburg, VA and a Design Engineer/Analyst for Pneumafil in Charlotte, NC before starting Eclipse Engineering in 1998. His areas of expertise with regard to ASME equipment and their support structures include;

  • Thermal fatigue due to steady-state and transient thermal conditions (nuclear and non-nuclear)
  • Seismic response spectrum analysis of complex structures containing ASME equipment
  • Shock spectrum and vibration analysis per Navy spec. MIL-S-901D
  • Dynamic analysis for impact of critical nuclear fuel-handling devices
  • Large-displacement and P-delta effects of vessels and structures
  • Plastic analyses of reactor components undergoing large strain

Paul Becker
Design Automation Engineer

Paul has 15+ years professional project and product management experience in the ASME and TEMA design and manufacturing environment. He also has 25+ years professional experience in software application development. He has extensive experience with CAE automation and integration of applications such as ANSYS, RISA, STAAD, and SolidWorks. Paul has supplied analysis and solution services to large OEMs such as Babcock & Wilcox, Foster Wheeler, General Motors, and Hewlett Packard.
